Being the oldest and largest private optometric practice in the Omaha area is an honor of which we are very proud, but honor is borne of responsibility and responsibility means bringing a sense of pride, passion and purpose to everything we do in serving our community — your community.
We love our work here and certainly also like to have fun in doing it, but we at Malbar Vision Centers also take very seriously the responsibilities that come with knowing successive generations have trusted us to care for your vision health for over six decades.
Founded in 1951 by Dr. Stanley Malashock in the back room of the famed jewelry store bearing the same family name, Neal Malashock, O.D. and Larry Malashock, O.D. purchased the practice from their father in 1988. We’ve grown over the years to now offer full service, comprehensive eye health care in five convenient locations all throughout the metro area.
Eyeglasses come in rather small boxes, so don’t look for a “big box” experience at any of our vision centers. We prefer a more personal, hometown approach, one that can never be replicated by the big national brands.
Our professional staff, supported by doctors Neal Malashock, Larry Malashock, Stephen Felt, Don Krysl and Kirk Maynard, is trained in the most recent and progressive technologies, techniques and yes, even trending styles
We measure success not in frames or lenses or procedures, but in knowing that we — we your friends and neighbors right here in Omaha — care for the community. To all of us at Malbar Vision Centers, “The Difference is Clear … the Difference is Care.”
Your satisfaction and eye health will always be our No. 1 priority as we work to help you look the best as you see the best.
Malbar Trivia … Who put the “bar” in Malbar? That would be in honor of Dr. Stanley Malashock’s wife, Barbara.
